Software
1. Update the Fixed Displays (FD) (configure with the mode?). Display at least 1
and preferably all the FDs on the web.
2. Provide a Page 1 / quadrant, definitely on the web
3. An electronic logbook (that does not replace the MTF and is inspired on the
facility provided by Felix for String 2). This must be visible on the web.
4. Applications to continuously monitor the hardware (monitoring is for visual
inspection, fixed displays do not provide sufficient detail, specialists
applications may be inappropriate)
5. Programs for vacuum system, cryogenics, powering, quench protection and
interlocks. (could be specialists programs if available)
6. A global Post Mortem system with analysis and display facilities specified by
the hardware commissioning team.
7. Some software with an interface to the Access System may be required.
8. Powering Application specifically tailored for hardware commissioning
9. Global logging
10. Global alarms
- Individual System Tests --- leading to CST - and eventually operations inc.
test mode
- Interlock test with power converters in short circuit - very thorough
- Interlock test at standby current
Requirements
- Automated circuit commissioning. Automatic procedures for battery test. Signal analysis of measurements
acquired therein. First implementation looks good for PC short circuit tests -
needs to be tested with magnets/PIC/QPS however. Where does the signal
analysis take place?
- Automatic procedures again, ramping, stopping, checking, ramping,
stopping, ramping, voltages, several thing at the same time. Powering all circuits in unison, thermal performance, 24 hour reliability
run
- Batch / selection / group by circuit type/location/powering sub-sector
- Analysis tool - of what?
- Polarity checks
- Powering with various stages up to nominal current
- Energy extraction - interface
- Interface to cryogenics
- Control, monitoring and logging.
- Typical settings for testing - correctors, let's assume given multipole
errors for example.
- PM triggering, transmission, time stamping
