Some first thoughts...
Aims
1. Combined signals from different measurement systems to help in:
- beam loss optimization (aperture, bumps, etc)
- background optimization (conditions around experiments etc. - vacuum, beam position)
- global monitoring of machine conditions for operations
- combined estimates of integreated doses for RP
2. Offline analysis
- integrated losses for RP
- integrated losses for background analysis
- integrated losses for collimator optimization (integrated losses v. location etc.)
- integrated losses versus machine phase - injection, ramp, etc., - versus energy
- BLMs
- RADMON
- possible cross-check with RAMSES
- BCT
- Vacuum
- closed orbit via real-time feed
Possible integration with aperture model, layout database.
Most instrumentation publishes on-line data through CMW/JAPC - standard CO mechanism. This allows easy access to data from mulitple sources. Possible expceptions RAMSES and Vacuum (PVSS).
Offline, all required data finds its way to the measurment/logging databases. APIs exist for reasonably easy data extraction (prototype tools in place).
Timing system/LSA - delineation of injection process, machine phase, baseline machine parameters, energy etc.
LSA - bump amplitudes, collimator settings etc.
Java, under LSA using standard CO components. Bepsoke fixed displays, interactive GUIs for on-line analysis/optimization, off-line analysis tools.
